The manufacturer declares conformity in the
sense of the EC directives Electro-magnetic
compatibility (89/336/EEC) and Low voltage
directive (73/23/EEC).
Intended use
The extraction hood, in the following termed
unit, is exclusively intended for extracting
steam generated by cooking. The unit must be
permanently fitted. Ensure that the information
on connection conditions and surrounding
conditions is adhered to. Any other use is
deemed as non-intended.
Berbel declines any liability for damage resulting
from improper installation, unapproved
changes to the unit or operating errors.
Installation, electrical connection
Only allow qualified expert personnel to install
the unit.
The supplied holders are exclusively suitable
for installation on a solid material substrate.
On other substrates (e.g. plasterboards) use
suitable fastening techniques. Risk of accident
if incorrectly installed.

Operation
Always ensure sufficient supply air.
Repairs
The execution of repairs to the unit is restricted
to the manufacturer or an authorised
customer service. Improper repairs could lead
to injury and damage to assets. Always replace
the connection cable if damaged.
In the case of extraction hoods with recirculation
filter, ensure that the air flow can be returned
to the kitchen unrestricted through the
slots in the chimney.
Clean the extraction hood at regular intervals.
Ensure that the lint filter once cleaned is completely
dry when being reinserted in the extraction
hood.

Retirer les plaques de recouvrement pour accéder au filtre.
Vous pouvez remplacer le filtre ou les charbons actifs usés.
Adressez-vous à votre revendeur spécialisé Berbel. Tenir
compte de la documentation sur le filtre.
Ne pas jeter la hotte aspirante dans les déchets résiduels.
Remettre l’appareil à une société de traitement des déchets
agréée ou à votre administration communale de traitement
des déchets. Respecter les prescriptions.
If the unit is simultaneously operated with ambient
air dependent fireplaces (e.g. gas, oil or
coal heating units, open fireplaces), the chimney
sweep must approve the installation of
the extraction hood. The permissible vacuum
must not exceed 4 Pa. Naked flames might
extinguish as a result of the vacuum. Gas or exhaust
escaping as a result is dangerous to life.
Always ensure sufficient supply air. The unit is
provided with connection terminals allowing
the evaluation of a window switch.

For the exhaust air mode, the regional regulations
pertaining to exhaust air ducts and constructional
measures for the exhaust air outlet
point have to be met. Never connect the unit
to an active ventilation duct or a flue gas or
exhaust gas chimney.
Only connect the unit to a protective earth
socket with its own power plug. The socket
must be accessible to be able to disconnect the
