DIA’12/ 05.- 08. Juli 2012: Die Fakultät
Gestaltung öffnete kurz vor Semesterende
ihre Türen und zeigte bis zu 200
Studien- und Abschlussarbeiten. Am
Eröffnungsabend hielt Claudius Seidl
(Feuilletonchef der Frankfurter Allgemeinen
Sonntagszeitung) direkt nach
den Grußworten von Thomas Beyer
(Bürgermeister der Hansestadt Wismar)
und Prof. Georg Giebeler (Dekan
der Fakultät Gestaltung), seinen
Vortrag «Die Entdeckung des großen
Spielfeldes». Der Vortrag besprach
die Möglichkeiten der Gestaltung von
großformatigen Zeitungen.
Die Ausstellung und andere Programmpunkte
fanden an den vier Tagen
hauptsächlich im Haus 7 sowie
vereinzelt in der Wismarer Altstadt
und an der Kaikante im Alten Hafen
statt. Gastveranstaltungen, wie der
Landesverbandstag vom BDB – Bund
Deutscher Baumeister, Ingenieure und
Architekten e.V., die Sommerhochschule
der Hochschule Wismar und das
Treffen der Medienarbeiter im Kulturellen
Netzwerk M-V, waren Bestandteil
im Programm der 7. Jahresausstellung
DIA. Absolventenverabschiedung, DIA-
Preis-Verleihung, DIA-Party-Hopping,
IDA-Sommerparty, Fussballturnier
«Kunst am Ball» und das studentische
Projekt «Fortpflanzung» an der St. Marienkirche
fanden ebenso im Rahmen
der Jahresausstellung statt.
Folgende Jury-Mitglieder gekürten den
DIA-Preis 2012: Robert Claus (Bund
Deutscher Baumeister), Prof. Ulrike
Mansfeld (HS Bremen), Miro Zahra
(Künstlerin), Reinhard Otto Kranz
(Design-Zentrum M-V), Thomas Beyer
(Bürgermeister, Wismar) und Prof. Georg
Giebeler (Dekan, Fak. Gestaltung).

DIA’12 / 5 – 8 July 2012: The Faculty of
Design opened its doors shortly before
the end of the semester and showed up
to 200 course projects and final projects.
Claudius Seidl (Feuilleton chair of
the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung)
gave his lecture “The discovery
of the large playing field” on the opening
day after the welcoming addresses
by Thomas Beyer (Mayor of the City of
Wismar) and Professor Georg Giebeler
(Dean of the Faculty of Design). The lecture
focused on the design possibilities
of large-format newspapers.
The exhibition as well as other programme
parts took place mainly in
House 7 and occasionally in the old city
centre of Wismar and on the quay in the
Old Harbour.
Guest events such as the regional conference
of the BDB (Association of German
Master Builders, Engineers and
Architects e.V.), the Summer University
at Wismar University and the meeting
of media workers in the Cultural Network
M-V were part of the programme
of the 7th Annual Exhibition DIA. The
graduates’ farewell ceremony, the DIA
award presentation, the DIA party hopping,
the IDA summer party, the soccer
tournament “Kunst am Ball” and the
student project “Reproduction” at the
St. Marienkirche also took place as part
of the Annual Exhibition.
The following jury members awarded
the DIA prize 2012: Robert Claus (German
Association of Master Builders),
Prof Ulrike Mansfeld (Bremen University),
Miro Zahra (artist), Reinhard Otto
Kranz (Design Centre M-V), Thomas
Beyer (Mayor of Wismar) and Prof Georg
Giebeler (Dean, Faculty of Design).
