Natürliche Rohstoffe von Evonik
There is no doubt about it that in recent years
terms such as “natural”, “plant-based”, “organic”
and “vegetable” have become firmly
established in our everyday vocabulary. This
was most commonly found in the Personal
Care market. Evonik spotted this trend early
on. More than 80 percent of our raw materials
and active ingredients provided to the
cosmetic industry are made from plantsourced
and natural based starting materials.
Examples are fats and oils, natural fatty acids
or sugar compounds including sucrose and
sorbitol. The business unit Consumer Specialties
produces the nature-identical ceramide
and phytosphingosine active ingredient
group, using biofermentation, processes and
techniques that conserve resources and are
safe and environmentally friendly. Evonik also
uses cutting-edge biotechnological production
processes that use natural enzymes to
produce high-quality ester oils, which can be
used in a variety of cosmetic products. These
processes reduce energy consumption and
emissions by up to 75 percent and result
in high-quality products having exceptional
purity.
Our natural, nature-identical or renewable
raw materials, active ingredients and innovative,
environmentally friendly production
processes, as well as the biodegradability of
hair and body care products, has also been
recognized by independent institutions and
organizations. For example, the following
51 products from our portfolio for the cosmetic
industry already conform to Ecocert
standards. Ecocert is a leading independent
international environmental organization based
in France. It is currently the largest environmental
control organization in Europe and
it works in 80 different countries all over the
world.
Ecocert follows ISO Guide 65 (EN 45011).

Keine Frage – Begriffe wie natürlich, pflanzlich

Specialties für die kosmetische Industrie im
Programm hat, werden bereits jetzt aus
pflanzlichen und natürlichen Ausgangsstoffen
wie Fetten und Ölen, natürlichen Fettsäuren
oder Zuckerverbindungen wie Saccharose
und Sorbitol hergestellt.
Der Geschäftsbereich Consumer Specialties
stellt naturidentische Wirkstoffe wie Ceramide
und Phytosphingosine mit Hilfe von Biofermentation
her, d.h. mit resourcenschonenden
Prozessen und Technologien, die sicher
und umweltfreundlich sind. Modernste biotechnologische
Produktionsverfahren unter
Einsatz natürlicher Enzyme nutzt Evonik
auch, um hochwertige Esteröle herzustellen,
die in einer Vielzahl von kosmetischen Produkten
Anwendung finden. Ingesamt lassen
sich durch dieses Verfahren bis zu 75 Prozent
an Energieaufwand und Emissionen vermeiden.
Die so hergestellten Produkte zeichnen
sich zudem durch eine besondere Reinheit
und Qualität aus.
Unsere natürlichen, naturidentischen oder
aus erneuerbaren Quellen gewonnenen Rohund
Wirkstoffe, innovative und umweltverträgliche
Produktionsprozesse sowie die biologische
Abbaubarkeit unserer Produkte für
Körper- und Haarpflege werden auch von unabhängigen
Instituten und Organisationen
gewürdigt. Die im Folgenden genannten 51
Produkte aus unserem Portfolio für die kosmetische
Industrie wurden bereits von Ecocert
geprüft und bestätigt.
Ecocert ist ein international tätiger, unabhängiger
Verband im Umweltbereich mit
Hauptsitz in Frankreich. Die Organisation ist
zurzeit der größte Kontrollverband im Bereich
Umwelt in Europa und arbeitet in 80
verschiedenen Ländern in der ganzen Welt.
Seit 2002 prüft Ecocert Kosmetikprodukte
auf ökologische und biologische Qualität nach
