A seminar that proved a
great success: 9 training
units, over 60 attendees
and essential information
and technological insights
about the important raw
material plastic.

The word’s major International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber — called “K“ after “Kunststoff“, the German
word for plastics — took place between 16 and 23 October 2013. As an ideal business and contact platform for
future-proofed innovations, this event provided the perfect setting for POLYTEC EMC ENGINEERING within
the INDUSTRIAL business unit to showcase its latest technological developments and applications.
POLYTEC focused on the presentation
of the new DG-130 casting
machine, which was specifically
developed for hot casting
elastomers. This casting machine
can process 2- and 3-component
polyurethane types up
to a temperature of 140°C and
is characterized by its compact
design. The DG-130 casting ma-
chine developed by POLYTEC
EMC is, like the DG-150 product
line, a standardized casting machine,
which is produced in a
small series.
The K fair 2013 also offered an
opportunity to expand the company’s
cooperation network.

agreement with RMpu Ltd,

Im Mittelpunkt unseres Messeauftritts
stand die Vorstellung
der neuen Gießanlagenserie
DG-130, die von POLYTEC EMC
speziell für Heißgieß-Elastomere
entwickelt wurde. Die Anlage
kann sowohl 2- als auch 3-komponentige
Polyurethan-Typen
bis zu einer Temperatur von
140°C verarbeiten und besticht
durch ihre kompakte Bauweise.
Neben der DG-150 ist die DG-
130 eine standardisierte Gießmaschine
für Kleinserien.
Natürlich wurde die K-Messe
2013 auch zum Ausbau von Kooperationen
genutzt. So konnte

Als besonders erfreulich darf
erwähnt werden, dass während
der Messe drei Gießanlagen an
einen mittelständischen Polyurethan-Verarbeiter
in Deutschland
verkauft werden konnten.
Die Auslieferung der Anlagen
wird bereits im ersten Quartal
2014 erfolgen.
In cooperation with BASF – our
important raw material supplier
of thermoplastic composites,
PA 6 and PA 6.6 in a glass fibre-reinforced
version – POLYTEC
PLASTICS introduced a free
training program for interested
POLYTEC employees. The wide
range of seminars comprised free
selectable seminar blocks about
plastic technology and saw the
participation of over 60 staff
members.
The training program focused
not only on teaching the fundamentals
of injection moulding,
but also on injection moulding
errors and special processes.
Other seminar topics included
the processing of technical
plastic materials and injection
moulded parts, the integrative
simulation with BASF Ultrasim as
well as quality management.
The seminar about integrative
simulation clearly illustrated the
potential of closed collaboration,
when developing new injection
moulded components with the
objective of achieving optimal
product design in line with both
customer demands and the requirements
of a modern manufacturing
process. During a detailed
product training session,
special attention was dedicated
to product innovations.
In Zusammenarbeit mit BASF,
unserem bedeutenden Rohstofflieferanten
von Thermoplasten,
PA6 und PA 6.6 in glasfaserverstärkter
Ausführung,
wurde bei POLYTEC PLASTICS in
Lohne (Deutschland) eine für interessierte
POLYTEC-Mitarbeiter
kostenlose Schulungsmaßnahme
durchgeführt. Das vielfältige
Seminarangebot mit frei wählbaren
Seminarblöcken rund um
das Thema Kunststofftechnik
wurde durch die hohe Teilnehmerzahl
von über 60 Personen
honoriert.
Dabei wurden nicht nur die
Grundlagen des Spritzgießens
angesprochen, sondern auch
die Bereiche Spritzgießfehler
und Sonderverfahren. Weitere
Seminarbestandteile waren
die Verarbeitung technischer
Kunststoffe sowie Spritzgussteile,
die integrative Simulation
mit BASF Ultrasim und Qualitätsmanagement.
Der Vortrag zur integrativen
Simulation verdeutlichte anschaulich
die Potentiale einer
engen Zusammenarbeit bei der
Neuentwicklung von Spritzgussteilen
um ein optimales Produktdesign,
das allen Anforderungen
des Kunden sowie denen einer
modernen Fertigung entspricht,
zu entwickeln. Während einer
ausführlichen Produktschulung
wurde zusätzlich auf Produktinnovationen
eingegangen.
MOBIS SHOW
Mobis Parts and Accessories held
its 2 nd supplier meeting in July in
Costa Mesa, California. Object of
the conference was to allow suppliers
to present their products
to the senior management and
decisions makers of Hyundai and
Kia. POLYTEC was one of 21 suppliers
invited to present current
and future products.
Sieglinde Kaiser, President of
POLYTEC FOHA, and Jonathan
Strack, design engineer, represented
POLYTEC at the two day
event. They unveiled the first
off tool parts for the up-coming
Hyundai Veloster wireless scuff
plates, which are considered a
strategic product for the future
and in the top five of all products
presented by the suppliers.

Bei der Konferenz hatten die
Lieferanten Gelegenheit Ihre
Produkte den Führungskräften
und Entscheidungsträgern von
Hyundai und Kia zu präsentieren.
POLYTEC war einer der 21
geladenen Lieferanten.
Sieglinde Kaiser, Geschäftsführerin
von POLYTEC FOHA, und
Jonathan Strack, Konstrukteur,
repräsentierten POLYTEC
bei dem zweitägigen Event.
POLYTEC enthüllte dabei erste
Musterteile einer kabellosen
Einstiegsleiste für den Hyundai
Veloster, die unter den besten
fünf aller präsentierten Produkte
gesehen wurden und als
strategisches Zukunftsprodukt
gelten.
