Wednesday, October 1st
After meeting in front of the school we
walked to the beach. The view was
spectacular. Some of us collected shells –
they were successful, indeed.
Others ran along the beach, had fun in
and out of the seawater and the rest
of us played “Dutch ball” in the sand.
Actually it was a relaxing morning.
In the afternoon we had to work. We
attended our lessons and wrote reports
about our time in England. It took us some
time to get used to the English keyboards!
In the evening we had some free time to
enjoy ourselves.

Thursday, October 2nd
On the fifth day we went to Salisbury and
Stonehenge by bus. A guide, who
was even able to speak German, showed
us the huge cathedral in Salisbury.
He told us a lot about this impressive
cathedral, which has the highest spire of
all churches in England.
Stonehenge is that well known famous
circle made of enormous stones.
Stonehenge is a big mystery even today,
because nobody really knows why
it is there or how it got there.
That was an amazing day and it made a
great impression on me.

Friday, October 3rd
We had to say good-bye to our host
families. I thought, “I´ll miss them, but
I´ll write a letter to them – soon!”
This day was most exciting, because we
went to London. We saw so much
that I really felt dazzled – Buckingham
Palace, The Houses of Parliament,
London Eye, Big Ben, The Tower, Tower
Bridge, Trafalgar Square…
Imagine, we went down the River Thames
on a boat and so we had a marvellous
view of a lot of the London sights.
In the evening we went to the theatre to
see “Grease” – It is a great musical and
all of us liked it a lot.
Afterwards we walked or partly ran
through the brightly lit streets of London
like Oxford Street or Regent Street.
In the end we got something to eat at
Burger King. You can imagine that we
were all very hungry by then. Last not
least we spent the night in a youth hostel.
