Ae 6/6 – Schweizer Legende mit
60 Dienstjahren
Die neuen Fleischmann Modelle sind für Ländersammler von Schweiz
bis Italien und von Deutschland bis Österreich interessant. Da die Ae
6/6 jahrelang den Alpentransit besorgte, passt sie zu nahezu allen Güterwagen
der Epochen IV und V. In ihren besten Zeiten in den 1960er
Jahren war sie DIE Gotthard-Lokomotive. Bekannt waren die Maschinen
auch wegen ihrer Wappen der Schweizer Kantone, Orte und Regionen.
Anders als bei den Originalloks sind „Wappendiebstähle“ bei den Fleischmann
Modellen weniger zu befürchten. 1999 wanderten dann die noch
aktiven Loks zur SBB Cargo. Seither wurde mehrmals ausrangiert und
wieder eingestellt – so kann man einer Ae 6/6 heute noch begegnen.

Ae 6/6 – Swiss legend with 60 years of service.
These new Fleischmann models have been designed with model
railway enthusiasts from Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Austria in
mind. As the Ae 6/6 served the Transalpine route for so long, it could
accommodate virtually every goods wagon of Epochs IV and V. In its
heyday in the 1960s it was THE Gotthard locomotive. The engines
were also known for their coats of arms designating the Swiss cantons,
towns and regions. Unlike for the original locos, ‘coat of arms
thieves’ are hardly a threat to Fleischmann models. In 1999, the locomotives
that were still in service were handed over to SBB (Swiss
Federal Railways) cargo. Since then they have been withdrawn and
brought back into service several times – so it is still possible to
come across an Ae6/6 today. (Model, see Pages 46)
