Der Countdown läuft:
Knapp zwei Wochen
vor dem offiziellen Nennungsschluss
für das ADAC Zurich
24h-Rennen Nürburgring
(23. bis 26. Juni) deutet einiges darauf
hin, dass sich der veranstaltende
ADAC Nordrhein auf ein
Rekord-Starterfeld freuen darf,
das viele Superlative verspricht:
In dem mit bis zu 210 Fahrzeugen
prall gefüllten Starterfeld treten
Teams und Fahrer aus der ganzen
Welt an, rund ein Dutzend Hersteller
kämpfen mit Werks- oder
werksunterstützten Mannschaften
um Gesamt- und Klassensiege,
darunter auch erstmals die
fünf deutschen Premiumhersteller
Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz,
Porsche und Volkswagen. Entsprechend
hochkarätig sind auch
die Piloten, die in einer Armada
von Traumsportwagen ins Lenkrad
greifen.

Beim legendären Rennen zweimal
rund um die Uhr, das am 25. Juni
um 16 Uhr gestartet wird, dürfen
sich die Fans (im vergangenen
Jahr sorgten insgesamt 220.000
Zuschauer für eine Volksfeststimmung
entlang der Nordschleife)
auf viele neue Teams.
Seinen Abschied von der großen
Motorsportbühne plant der frühere
Formel-1-Pilot, Sportwagen-
Weltmeister und DTM-Champion
Hans-Joachim Stuck. Der
60-Jährige erfüllt sich dabei einen
lang gehegten Wunsch, denn er
geht erstmals bei einem Rennen
überhaupt mit seinen beiden Söhnen
Johannes (24) und Ferdinand
(19) gemeinsam an den Start.
„Stuck3“ fahren einen vom Team
Reiter Engineering eingesetzten
Lamborghini Gallardo 600 und
gehören damit nach Meinung von
Experten zu den aussichtsreichsten
Anwärtern auf einen Podestplatz.

the countdown is on: Some
two weeks prior to the official
entry deadline for the
ADAC Zurich 24h-Race Nürburgring
(23rd to 26th June),
several hints make you come to
the conclusion that the organisers,
ADAC Nordrhein, possibly
may look forward to a record grid
promising numerous superlatives:
the packed 210-car grid will feature
teams and drivers from all
over the world, about a dozen of
manufacturers will battle it out
with works or works supported
squads for the overall win and
class wins. And for the first time,
all the five German premium manufacturers
are involved: Audi,
BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche
and Volkswagen. So it comes as
no surprise that the drivers contesting
the race at the wheel of a
true armada of stunning sports
cars also represent the absolute
top class.
In this year’s edition of the legendary
endurance race – that will be
vErlosungsaKTion
started on 25th June at 16:00hrs
– the huge crowd (last year, some
220,000 visitors turned the entire
Nordschleife into a true motorracing
festival) may look forward
to many quite new teams.
Meanwhile, a true German motorracing
legend is going to contest
his last major race: Hans-Joachim
Stuck, former Formula 1 driver,
Sports-Car World Champion and
DTM Champion as well as multitime
winner of the 24h-races at
Le Mans and the Nürburgring,
wants to retire from motor mracing
for good. But before he does
so, the 60-year old will make one
of his dreams come true: for the
first time in his life, ‘Striezel’ will
contest a race together with both
his sons, Johannes (24) and Ferdinand
(19). ‘Stuck3’ will race a
Lamborghini Gallardo 600 entered
by Team Reiter Engineering
and according to the pundits,
they are among the top favourites
when it comes to making it to the
podium.
