Power-LED – technique
The so-called LED - Light Emitting Diode - is suffi ciently established. For
several years these midget lights were used in electrical equipment to show
the state of use. Until recently it was not possible to use the LED for general
lighting. It did not provide enough brightness for these applications and produced
only coloured but no white light.
New technical developments improved the luminous fl ux and made it possible
to create a white light by using a special LED light shift with a blue LED.
