FINGERS
will.
sichern. Zwei gestreckte Finger bedeuten, dass der
Blockspieler die Diagonale sichert und sein Partner
entlang der Seitenlinie abdecken muss.
In order to understand the tactical accords of the professionals
some information is essential. Each team
consists of one block and one defence player. The
block player stands close to the net and the defence
player covers the backward part of the court. The left
hand symbolizes the opponent, who is standing on
the left side of the court and the right hand symbolizes
the opponent, who is standing on the right side
of the court. The block player tells the defence player,
how she will play in the next rally. The defence player
now knows which part of the court is covered by the
block player. And therefore he or she will also know
which part he or she has to cover. A stretched finger
means that the block player will cover the long line
side and the defence player has to cover the diagonal
part. Two stretched fingers mean that the block player
will cover the diagonal side and his or her partner has
to cover the long line part of the court.
Der linke Gegenspieler wird vom
Blockspieler longline und der
rechte Spieler diagonal geblockt./
The left opponent will be blocked
long line and the right opponent
diagonally.
Beide Gegenspieler werden entlang
der Seitenlinie geblockt. Der
Abwehrspieler sichert auf beiden
Seiten die Diagonale. /
Both opponents will be blocked
long line. Therefore the defence
player covers the diagonal part on
both sides.
The open palm means, that the left player will be
blocked according to his or her start-up. The right
player will be blocked long line.
Beide Spieler werden diagonal
geblockt. Der Abwehrspieler
sichert beide longline-Seiten. /
Both players will be blocked
diagonally. The defence player
secures the long line sides.
Normally the tactical accords are the same on international
level. However some teams have developed
their own tactics in course of time and therefore some
strange forms might occur during the matches at the
Open in Lucerne.
