ZURÜCK!<br />
Die erste Beachvolleyball-Schweizermeisterschaft hat 1992 in Luzern<br />
stattgefunden – ein Pionierevent zu einer Zeit, als die heutige olympische<br />
Disziplin noch ein aufkommender Trendsport war. Beachvolleyball<br />
hat sich zu einer für Athletinnen, Athleten und Fans attraktiven Elite-<br />
Sportart entwickelt. Währenddessen ist die Bilderbuchstadt Luzern zu<br />
einem bedeutenden Tourismusort für Gäste aus aller Welt geworden.<br />
Ich bin überzeugt, dass die Stadt am Vierwaldstättersee ein idealer Austragungsort<br />
für das neue FIVB-Open – eines der internationalen Top-Turniere<br />
– ist. Und ich darf es schon vorwegnehmen: im nächsten Jahr folgt<br />
mit den FIVB Beach Volleyball U21 World Championships 2016 bereits<br />
das zweite Highlight.<br />

Welcome back! In 1992, Lucerne hosted the first Swiss Championships in<br />
beach volleyball – a pioneering event at a time when this now-Olympic<br />
discipline was still an emerging on-trend sport. In the meantime, beach<br />
volleyball has evolved into an attractive top-class sport that delights athletes<br />
and fans alike, and the beautiful city of Lucerne has become a major<br />
tourism destination, attracting guests from all over the globe.<br />
I am confident that this lakeside city provides the perfect setting for one<br />
of the leading tournaments worldwide – the new FIVB Open. And in<br />
2016, we can look forward to the next highlight in the shape of the FIVB<br />
Beach Volleyball Under-21 World Championships.<br />
We are excited that Lucerne is firmly back on the beach volleyball map!<br />

Dass die Stadt Luzern- insbesondere das bekannte<br />
LIDO- als Wiege des Schweizer Beachvolleyball<br />
Sports gilt, ist vielen bekannt. Bereits 2008 machte<br />
die damalige European Tour der Stadt Luzern, im<br />
LIDO und auf der Bühlermatte, ihre Aufwartung:<br />
Noch heute loben die Athleten Luzern dank der reizvollen<br />
Stadt, den nahen Bergen und dem See.<br />
Ebenso erwähnenswert ist die „Gänsehaut Atmosphäre“,<br />
welche von den vielen tausend Zuschauern<br />
erzeugt wird. Luzern garantiert für unvergessliche<br />
Events am Vierwaldstättersee.<br />

The cradle of beachvolleyball. It is well-known that<br />
the city of Lucerne, especially the famous LIDO, is<br />
the cradle of Beachvolleyball sport in Switzerland.<br />
In the year 2008 the European Beachvolleyball Tour<br />
brought an event to the Lido and the “Bühlermatte”<br />
Lucerne already: Even today the athletes praise Lucerne<br />
for its charming city, the near mountains and<br />
lake. Just as mentionable as the atmosphere produced<br />
by thousands of spectators, that gives everybody<br />
the creeps when they get on the Venue.<br />
Lucerne guarantees for an unforgettable Beachvolleyball<br />
event at the “Vierwaldstättersee”.<br />

IN <strong>LUZERN</strong><br />
Wir freuen uns: wir haben es geschafft! Endlich können wir wieder die<br />
besten Beachvolleyballerinnen und Beachvolleyballer der Welt in die<br />
Schweiz nach Luzern an den Vierwaldstättersee einladen. Die faszinierende<br />
Umgebung am See ist erstklassig. Wir wollen unseren Gästen aus<br />
nah und fern mit Herz und grossem Einsatz ein unvergessliches Erlebnis<br />
bieten.<br />
Eine Woche lang kämpft die Beachvolleyball-Elite im berühmten Strandbad<br />
„Lido“ um den Sieg beim ersten FIVB Beachvolleyball Open Luzern.<br />
Unsere gesamte Organisation, mit all seinen Helfern aus dem In- und<br />
Ausland, stellt sich dieser anspruchsvollen Aufgabe und wird mit vollem<br />
Engagement für einen erfolgreichen Ablauf sorgen.<br />
Persönlich wünsche ich mir, dass der Wettergott auch auf unserer Seite<br />
steht. Dann ist ein erfolgreiches Turnier in Luzern garantiert!<br />
Top-class sport in Lucerne. We are looking forward: we finally did it! We<br />
are pleased to invite the best female and male beach volleyball players<br />
of the world to Lucerne Switzerland to the Vierwaldstättersee again. The<br />
fascinating location near the lake is one of a kind. With heart and huge<br />
efforts we want to create an unforgettable experience for our guests<br />
from near and far.<br />
A week long the beach volleyball elite fights for the victory in the famous<br />
„Lido“ at the first FIVB Beach Volleyball Open Lucerne. Our entire<br />
organization, with all its helpers from home and abroad, has accepted<br />
this ambitious challenge and will ensure full commitment to a successful<br />
process.<br />
Personally, I hope that the weather during the tournament will be fine.<br />
Then a successful tournament in Lucerne is guaranteed!<br />
