(AOS) kündigt eine TVS- Dioden-Produktfamilie mit extrem niedriger Kapazität an. Die neue Produktserie wurde als robuster ESD-Schutz für schnelle Datenports entwickelt und optimiert. Diese sind heute in Consumer- und Computingprodukten wie LCD-TVs, BluRay-Spielern, Personalcomputern und Mobiltelefonen weit verbreitet. Die neue Produktfamilie besteht aus drei Produkten - AOZ8804 (4-Kanal), AOZ8802 (2-Kanal) und AOZ8831 (einzelne bidirektionale Diode). Alle drei sind mit sehr niedriger Kapazität und geringer Einfügedämpfung ausgestattet. Dadurch werden maximale Signalintegrität und ESD-Schutz für schnelle Datenschnittstellen wie HDMI, USB3.0, eSATA und DisplayPort gewährleistet. „Mit den steigenden Geschwindigkeiten bei Kommunikationsschnittstellen werden die Entwickler vor das Problem gestellt, die sensible Elektronik der Transceiverschaltung vor ESD zu schützen und gleichzeitig die Signalintegrität beizubehalten. Übliche TVS-Lösungen fügen Kapazitäten hinzu, die das Datensignal verschlechtern können. AOS‘ ESD-Lösungen mit ultra niedriger Kapazität werden in der eigenen proprietären [TVS]2 Prozesstechnologie gefertigt und ermöglichen robuste ESD-Lösungen mit 50% geringeren Kapazitätswerten gegenüber unseren vorherigen Lösungen,“ sagte Wayne Eng, Marketing Director für AOS‘ TVS- und Analogschalter-Produkte. Technische Highlights Die neuen Produkte halten die Spezifikationen nach IEC61000- 4-2 Level 4 für elektrostatische Entladung (±8kV Kontakt- und ±15kV für Luft-Entladung) ein und haben sehr kleine Gehäuse mit optimiertem Footprint. AOZ8804 ist ein 4-kanaliges ultra low capacitance TVS Diodenarray mit 0,25pF typ. (I/O to I/O) und 0,50pF typ. (I/O to GND). Mit diesen Werten eignet es sich ideal zum ESD-Schutz sehr schneller externer Schnittstellen wie HDMI-Ports an LCD- Fernsehern. Für Computeranwendungen, die USB2.0 oder den neuen USB3.0-Standard nutzen, eignet sich das 2-kanalige Bauelement AOZ8802. Das Bauteil AOZ8831 ist eine einzelne bidirektionale Diode mit typisch 0.35pF, die in einem ultra kleinen 1.0 x 0.6 x 0.5mm messenden SOD882 leadless DFN Gehäuse verfügbar ist. Sie eignet eignet sich bestens für HF- und GPS-Antennenschutz in portablen tragbaren Geräten. AOS Introduces Ultra Low Capacitance ESD Protection Solutions for High Speed Data Ports Alpha & Omega Semiconductor, Inc. (AOS) today announced a family of ultra low capacitance TVS diode products. The new product series are designed and optimized to provide robust ESD protection for high speed data ports commonly used in consumer and computing electronics products such as LCD TVs, BluRay players, personal computers, and cell phones. The new product family includes three products – AOZ8804 (4-Channel), AOZ8802 (2-Channel) and AOZ8831 (single bidirectional diode). They all come with very low capacitance and low insertion loss ratings. These features enable maximum overall signal integrity and ESD protection to high speed data interfaces such as HDMI, USB3.0, eSATA and DisplayPort. “As the data speed of communication interfaces increases, designers are left with a challenge of protecting sensitive electronics in the transceiver circuitry from ESD, while at the same time maintaining signal integrity. Typical TVS solutions add capacitance that can degrade the data signal. AOS’ ultra-low capacitance ESD solutions built on our proprietary [TVS]2 process technology enable robust ESD solutions with 50% lower capacitance rating over our current solutions,” said Wayne Eng, Marketing Director for AOS’ TVS and Analog Switch products. Technical Highlights The new products meet the IEC61000-4-2 Level 4 specification for electrostatic discharge (±8kV contact and ±15kV for air discharge) and are housed in very small optimized footprint packages. AOZ8804 is a 4-channel ultra low capacitance TVS diode array rated at 0.25pF typ. (I/O to I/O) and 0.50pF typ. (I/O to Gnd), making it ideal for ESD protection for very high speed external interfaces like HDMI ports in LCD TV. For computing devices which use USB2.0 or the new USB3.0, the 2-channel AOZ8802 device is ideally suited for this application. AOZ8831 is a single bidirectional diode rated at 0.35pF typ. and is available in an ultra small 1.0 x 0.6 x 0.5mm SOD882 leadless DFN package. This device is ideal for RF and GPS antenna protection in portable handheld devices.
SMD-Quarze der Serie AC im weißen Vollkeramikgehäuse White full-ceramic-housing SMD-Crystals Kostengünstiges Gehäusematerial mit besten Eigenschaften Auris geht neue Wege in der Verwendung von kostengünstigen Gehäusematerialien. Als Alternative zu den am Markt üblichen Gehäusematerialien wird zusätzlich ein Vollkeramikgehäuse aus eigener Produktion angeboten. Die neuen auris-SMD-Quarze der Serie AC im weißen Vollkeramikgehäuse bieten im Vergleich zu den marktüblichen Quarzen in Keramik mit Metalldeckel folgende Vorteile: • preiswerter • funktionskompatibel • pinkompatibel • laserbeschriftet Sämtliche Quarze werden in TS16949 zertifizierten Produktionsstätten gefertigt, wobei die Quarzblanks inkl. der neuen Vollkeramikgehäuse aus eigener Produktion kommen. Diese hohe Fertigungstiefe ermöglicht neben einer höchstmöglichen Ausbeute kurze Lieferzeiten sowie sehr wettbewerbsfähige Preise. Die auf höchstem Qualitätsniveau basierenden Quarze werden in Reinsträumen gefertigt, einer 100% Prüfung unterzogen und zusätzlich entsprechend der Norm IEC 60444-6 (DLD- Messung) geprüft. Ein einwandfreies Anschwingen in der Anwendung wird somit sichergestellt. Derzeit sind folgende Gehäusevarianten verfügbar: • AC3225 (3,2x2,5mm) im Frequenzbereich von 12 MHz bis 40 MHz • AC5032 (5,0x3,2mm) mit 12 MHz bis 30 MHz und • AC1045 (10,0x4,5mm) mit 3,2768 MHz bis 7 MHz. Die Quarze sind bleifrei, RoHS konform entsprechend der Richtlinie 2002/95/EG und können nach JEDEC Norm J-STD-020C (Reflow) gelötet werden. The crystals based on highest quality levels are produced in clean rooms, subjected to 100% testing and additional checked according to IEC 60444-6 (DLD measurement). This ensures a perfect oscillation build-up in the application.
