That´s our way to make sure no oneproduces his film beforehand. After the announcement the film-makers or teams have 35 hours(until Sunday, June 24, 10:00) to write, plan, shoot, edit and finally hand the movies in at theCity Kinos. On the same night the big KURZ&KNAPP award ceremony will be held, in which weshow all of the films, present the teams and award the best entries. The festival will showcase the world's best contemporary shortfilms each night at the tradition-steeped Gloria <strong>Film</strong>palast in the heart of theBavarian capitol.Submissions are open to non-German language films of all genres (fiction,animation, documentary, experimental, music video or other) from anynation of the world. <strong>Film</strong>s must not have been shown in Bavaria at a festival,in a theatre or on television before, and must not exceed a length of 15minutes. All non-English films must have English subtitles. The festivalprefers to screen 35mm prints. The deadline for submissions is February 28,2010, and we kindly ask that you send your film in as soon as possible,rather than waiting until the deadline. Please check the completesubmission requirements at our <strong>Film</strong> Entry site.To submit a film, please register at Reelport. After registering, you will beguided through the necessary steps, from the filling of simple data requeststo the automatic upload of a video file. You may also send a DVD previewcopy to the address mentioned on the Reelport website. Please do not sendyour preview copy directly to the festival.The festival is staged by the <strong>Munich</strong> <strong>Film</strong>werkstatt, which is an associationof young directors, producers and other members of the filmmakingcommunity who support each other's films and careers, and CommClub<strong>Munich</strong>. Under the motto "Collecting knowledge and strengthening personalnetworking", CommClub <strong>Munich</strong> is dedicated to the media industry in<strong>Munich</strong> and to bringing people from various branches together by offering awide range of events and meetings focusing on information, networking andfun. The festival takes place in cooperation with Mathäser and is presentedby Abendzeitung. Global transportation of the screening prints is providedby Interkep, and the festival's prize, film stock for the next project of thewinning director, is kindly contributed by Kodak.
