Inzwischen sitzen hier Studenten: ein typischer
laborraum kurz vor dem Einzug.

laboratory shortly before the students moved in.
Abzügen eine Komponente für die Fernwartung installiert,
d.h., dass die Airflow Controller und die raumregelung von
Wangen aus angesteuert und gewartet werden können.
Das spart der Uni im Ernstfall nicht nur Geld sondern auch
wertvolle Zeit.
Innerhalb kürzester Zeit waren die Labore bezugsfertig:
Im Mai 2011 konnte die Laborplanung beginnen und Ende
September startete dann die Montage vor Ort. Auch das war
eine Herausforderung. Aber nicht wegen der Komplexität
der Möbel, sondern wegen der für uns ungewohnten Außentemperatur:
bei bis zu –35 Grad Celsius arbeiteten unsere
Monteure an der Baustelle in Kasachstan. Im Dezember
vergangenes Jahr konnten die Studenten dann bereits in
ihre neuen Labore einziehen. Somit hat sich die Hoffnung
der Verantwortlichen bestätigt, mit Waldner einen Laboreinrichter
beauftragt zu haben, der einen normalen Unibetrieb
in möglichst kurzer Zeit realisieren kann.

astana, the second-coldest capital city on the planet is characterised by
its continental climate. there is scarcely another town or city on the globe
located further inland than astana and it is precisely there – 5,400 km from
wangen – that students of the Faculty of natural sciences at nazarbajev
University are learning in new scaLa laboratories.
e looked for a partner who could guarantee that
"Wuniversity operations would be disturbed as little
as possible and that work could be started as quickly as
possible in the new buildings," explains Maksat Mamashev,
Vice-President of the University, citing one of the main reasons
for concluding the contract with WALDNer Laboreinrichtungen.
Waldner staff installed a 3,400 m² laboratory
within three months.
WALDNer Laboreinrichtungen was also responsible for
the entire room ventilation control. In order to ensure optimum
customer care and service across this long distance,
the Waldner specialists installed a component for remote
maintenance in all fume cupboards, meaning that the
Airflow-Controller and room control can be controlled and
maintained from Wangen. In the event of an emergency, this
will save the university money and valuable time.
The laboratories were ready for occupation within a very
short time: laboratory planning began in May 2011 and
assembly on site started at the end of September. In December
last year, students were able to move into their new
laboratories. The hope on the part of those responsible was
well-founded that it had found in Waldner a laboratory
manufacturer that could restore normal university operations
in as short a time as possible.
