Co-operation
Study and research: At the Anhalt University of
Applied Sciences these go hand in hand. We place
great importance on applied, transfer-oriented research
and practical work. This is one of the reasons
why the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences has
become an important scientific centre in central
Germany.
The research areas are wide-ranging and correspond
to the university’s profile. A particular research focus
is life sciences. The research activities are bundled at
the Life Sciences Competence Centre as an element
of the competence network for applied and transferoriented
research (KAT) as well as at the Centre of
Life Sciences. The Competence Centre has stateof-the-art
equipment and highly trained staff. All this
creates very good preconditions for collaborations
with companies and other facilities in order to realise
research and development projects.
The Anhalt University of Life Sciences Research
Profile:
Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Engineering,
Food Technology, Ecotrophology, Agriculture
and Nature Conservation), Renewable Energy (in particular
Solar Technology, Biogas, Digital Technology in
Planning and Design), E-learning.
These research projects are co-ordinated and negotiated
by the Research and Technology Transfer Centre
(FTTZ). It supports the involvement of the University
of Applied Sciences in the important promotion of
innovation and technology transfer networks. Enormous
innovation potential is created with applied,
transfer-oriented research. This offers best conditions
for neighbouring companies, which want to be competitive
and successful in practice and product-oriented
research. The University of Applied Sciences’
research potential is strengthened by the work of 12
affiliated institutes, which are linked by collaboration
contracts with the University of Applied Sciences.
