The next day we drove from
Herds southwards towards
Sandwick. We had planned to
celebrate Pepsi’s CC with
Joanne Hardy, and on the way
down we stopped in Leeds at
Highbrook to look at Highbrook
Hobnob and their other
pretty dogs. Down in Market
Drayton we went for a short trip
to Sandwick to look at and photograph
a 4 weeks old tri / bm
litter before we had to hurry to
the hotel where a better dinner
was ordered and waited for us.
The evening was celebrated
with red wine and looking at old
sheltie magazines and pedigrees
that I had just bought
from one of the many Sheltie
Clubs in England, and I celebrated
that I had finally got the
5 first Nutshells that I lacked in
my book collection.
The day after, it was a long
drive down to Shelridge to see
the flock of lovely Shelties at
Christine Aaron’s place. There
was also Karen Lee (Neraklee)
and her dogs, so extra bonus
for us to see so many beautiful
dogs at the same spot. From
there it was right back to Gatwick,
and a B & B. We wondered
if it was possible to get
some food nearby, and by
chance there was a fantastic
very old restaurant “Ye Olde
Six Bells” right in the neighborhood.
One shouldn’t be afraid
of the dark when going to this
restaurant, because we had to
go through an old cemetery
with lots of ancient graves, but
it went well. No ghosts and
lovely food in the restaurant.
Everything ends and also our
England tour, but we will definitely
be back soon!
