RFMW announces design and<br />

sales support for a 2.4 GHz<br />

front-end module (FEM) from<br />

Skyworks Solutions. The<br />

SKY66404-11, 2.4 GHz FEM<br />

is designed for Zigbee, Thread,<br />

and Bluetooth (including Low<br />

Energy) ultra-low power IoT<br />

applications spanning sensors,<br />

beacons, smart meters and<br />

thermostats, wireless cameras,<br />

smoke and CO detectors, wearables<br />

and medical wearables. The<br />

compact (3.5 x 3.0 x 0.82 mm)<br />

multi-chip module houses circuitry<br />

providing increased efficiency,<br />

as well as 4 x greater range<br />

than stand-alone SoC devices.<br />

The module includes a power<br />

amplifier, lownoise amplifier,<br />

lowloss bypass path, transmit<br />

and receive switches, and digital<br />

controls compatible with 1.7<br />

to 3.6 V CMOS levels. Its wide<br />

supply voltage range allows<br />

the device to be used in battery<br />

powered IoT applications over<br />

a broad spectrum of the battery<br />

discharge curve. The integrated<br />

LNA enables as much as 6 to 8<br />

dB receive sensitivity improvement<br />

versus discrete SoCs and<br />

the low power consumption<br />

makes it ideal for operation from<br />

coin cell batteries.<br />

and sales support for a GaAs<br />

pHEMT/MESFET and GaN<br />

HEMT amplifier module. The<br />

Qorvo QPA3333 Power Doubler<br />

provides 28 dB of gain for DOC-<br />

SIS 3.1 amplifiers and broadband<br />

CATV hybrid modules from 45<br />

to 1218 MHz. Using a single<br />

24 V supply, the QPA3333 offers<br />

excellent linearity, superior<br />

return loss and low noise which<br />

provides optimal reliability. By<br />

adjusting DC current, distortion<br />

vs. power consumption can be<br />

optimized over a wide range of<br />

output levels. Offered in an 11<br />

x 8.5 mm package.<br />

Engineering model RFLM-<br />

102402QF-290, silicon, PIN-<br />

Diode limiter module offers both<br />

high power CW and peak power<br />

protection in the L & S-Band<br />

region (1 to 4 GHz). Capable<br />

of handling average power up to<br />

100 W (50 dBm) and pulsed peak<br />

power up to 1000 W (60 dBm at<br />

pulse width = 25 µs, duty cycle =<br />

5 %), the RFLM-102402QF-290<br />

maintains low flat leakage to less<br />

than 14 dBm (typical), and reduces<br />

spike leakage to less than 0.5<br />
