Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of the European Challenge Tour,
I am delighted to welcome you to the Big
Green Egg German Challenge powered by
VcG.
It is fantastic to be back at the wonderful
Wittelsbacher Golfclub. In 2021 our
members were treated to a first class
tournament and exceptional hospitality
on offer here in Bavaria.
We give special thanks to the Promoter,
Deutsche Golf Sport, for their commitment
to providing an opportunity and pathway
for the best young German talent, the PGA
of Germany, the German Golf Association
(DGV), the VcG and all at Wittelsbacher
Golfclub for their help and hospitality.
Germany has a history of both hosting
Challenge Tour events and producing
players who have progressed through
our Rankings to excel on the world stage.
In 2021, Germans Yannik Paul, Marcel
Schneider, Marcel Siem and Hurly Long
finished in the top 20 on the Road to
Mallorca Rankings to earn promotion to
the DP World Tour.
We are all looking forward to an unforgettable
week here in Germany and on behalf of our
staff and players, I must thank everyone
associated with this event for their hard
work and dedication.
