In the first seven weeks of term, The John Fisher School has already
raised over £3,000 with many local charities benefitting.
As we
approach Christmas, there will be more work to be done to
support the frail, vulnerable and homeless at this time. Please
do support our initiatives where possible.
Up next: British Legion Poppy appeal
Next to the Sports Hall and
Music Centre we now have
a remembrance garden.
Students, staff and alumni
donated £1 to plant a
Daffodil on behalf of friends
and family who have battled
cancer. This raised
over £250.
We held a Cake sale on our
INSET day in September to
help raise money for Macmillan
cancer care. The staff
brought in a range of baked
goodies and helped raise
over £230 for this great
cause.
We continue to support charities
through our First Give,
House Charity and regular donations.
In November we will be
collecting for the British Legion
by selling Poppies.
The South East Cancer
centre operates in Purley,
supporting the local people
with Cancer. A small charity
it may be, but it provides
services for those who really
need it and desperately
needs support to continue
this. We were able to give
£500 from our mufti day.
We have been contributing to
Love in a Box for 8 years and
we continue to play a big part
in making Christmas a little bit
better for children in orphanages
all over Europe. This year
we were able to help St. Pauls
Church send 213 boxes with
our boxes, unwanted goods
and £500 from the mufti day.
