She started out as a journalist in the<br />
late1980s before moving on to Action For<br />
Children as their director of public affairs<br />
and communications.<br />
In 2013, Polly left the children's charity to<br />
become chief executive of Women's Aid<br />
and in 2017, she became the chief<br />
executive at Shelter<br />
