Rotary Club’s W<strong>in</strong>e & Beer Tast<strong>in</strong>g a delight<br />

<strong>Wilbraham</strong> Art League to<br />

add culture to the event<br />

WILBRAHAM – The <strong>Wilbraham</strong>-<br />

<strong>Hampden</strong> Rotary Club has for years<br />

presented community service projects<br />

to make the quality of life enjoyable for<br />

town residents. From the sold-out 250person<br />

Senior Picnic they hold at Spec<br />

Pond <strong>in</strong> August, to the Town Christmas<br />

Tree Light<strong>in</strong>g hosted by Santa, they have<br />

worked tirelessly for young and old people<br />

alike.<br />

To support the many community service<br />

projects and seven scholarships given<br />

to high school seniors each May, the club<br />

is hold<strong>in</strong>g a W<strong>in</strong>e & Beer Tast<strong>in</strong>g on Saturday,<br />

April 21 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the<br />

Country Club of <strong>Wilbraham</strong>. For tickets<br />

at $30 each, call 413-530-5996 or 413-<br />

221-9122. There will be food items that<br />

complement w<strong>in</strong>es and a silent auction, to<br />

complete the fundraiser.<br />

“This is the first year that the club<br />

has collaborated with the <strong>Wilbraham</strong> Art<br />

League to mix culture with oenology (the<br />

science of w<strong>in</strong>e) delight<strong>in</strong>g the senses,”<br />

said W<strong>in</strong>e Tast<strong>in</strong>g Co-chair and Rotary Past<br />

President Ann Marie Ottoson. “The Art<br />

League will display their work for view<strong>in</strong>g<br />

and for sale at the country club dur<strong>in</strong>g<br />

the event,” said Ottoson. <strong>Wilbraham</strong> Art<br />

League and Rotary member L<strong>in</strong>da Lastoff<br />

is coord<strong>in</strong>at<strong>in</strong>g the art exhibition.<br />
