– Introduction
FIREX BOARD – the world's highest fire-rated fireproof board
and a revolutionary patented lightweight multi-purpose board
that outperforms all other panels in terms of fire-resistance and
applications. Not only is FIREX BOARD fireproof, but it is also
ideal as a base for tiling in wet areas.
FIREX BOARD is made of incombustible materials, using a
special technique and unique formulae to offer fire protection
and durability. It is odourless, non-toxic and completely free of
asbestos and carcinogenic materials such as crystalline silica
or quartz, usually contained in fiber-cement boards and calciumsilicate
boards.
FIREX BOARD is non-combustible, heat-insulating, rot-proof,
water-resistant, weather-resistant, impact-resistant, soundinsulating,
termite-repellent and non-deforming. It is strong,
durable and nail-holding and no pre-drilling is necessary. It is
versatile and easy to use like wood – it can be cut, sawn, drilled,
nailed, screwed, stapled, wallpapered, painted and fabricated
with veneer, laminate or vinyl covering. Thin sheets can be bent
to suit architectural designs. It is so dimensionally-stable that
expansion and contraction is negligible. It will not delaminate
or deteriorate after prolonged exposure to moisture.
FIREX BOARD is indispensable in all areas where fire safety is
essential. Its unique properties make it ideal for partitions,
ceilings, drywalls, hoarding, fire barriers, fire doors, A/C or cable
ducts, E&M services enclosures, raised floor cores, etc.
The FIREX Suspended Ceiling System is the world's highest
fire-rated system using a single layer of 6 mm FIREX BOARD,
which achieved a fire rating of 5 hours integrity at 1200°C in
a c cord anc e with the B S 476:
Part 22: 1987.

The FIREX Steel Stud Hoarding System is the thinnest in
the market to achieve a fire-rating of 4 hours integrity in
accordance with BS 476: Part 22: 1987. Moreover, it has
twice the impact resistance of hoarding built with calcium
silicate boards.
FIREX BOARD can also be used to construct cost-effective
E&M services enclosures and fire barriers for a variety of
applications, including rolling shutter doorsets, fire-rated
steel doors and wood doors.
FIREX BOARD-H is especially designed for applications that
require superior fire-rating. It can be used for a variety of
applications, including suspended ceilings, ducts, E&M
services enclosures and raised floors. It meets the Federal
Railroad Administration (FRA) approval requirements and
can be used to provide fire protection for passenger trains
and people movers.
