NATIONAL GROUP SONG COMPETITION<br />
Kolkata, West Bengal : The branch organized NGSC on 12.09.2009<br />
jointly with Kolkata North East branch. 6 schools participated in the<br />
competition. Seth Soorajmul Jalan Balika Vidyalaya and Bikas Bharti<br />
Welfare society stood first and second respectively. Shri S.S. Beriwal<br />
and Shri Parmanand Goyal were the main guests.<br />
Karimgang, Assam : Branch participated at the state level NGSC<br />
& NSGSC held at shilpogram, panjabari Guwahati on 25th October, 2009.<br />
Baby Land English High School, won 3rd prize in the NGSC & regional<br />
song competition. The 2nd prize in both NSGSC & Folk song was won<br />
by Maharishi Vidya mandir.<br />
Tamilnadu & Pondicherry : State level NGSC for school children<br />
was held on 24th October 2009. The competition was in Hindi, Tamil,<br />
Sanskrit & Tamil Folk songs. More than 200 students from 14 schools<br />
through 5 city branches participated in this competition. Team of Vishva<br />
Vidyalaya Hr. Sec. School was the winner. The prizes were given away<br />
by the chief guest Padmashri Vikku Vinayakaram Ghatam Maestro in<br />
the P.D. function. Artificial limbs were also donated to deserving physically<br />
challenged person. During this function a book by Shri Vaidyanathan, on<br />
Vivek Choodamani in Tamil was formally released by Chandrasekarendra<br />
saraswathi Vishwa Vidyalaya and the first copy received by Shri Sriram.<br />
Karnataka South : Pranth level NGSC & NSGS competition was<br />
held in R.V. Dental college auditorium, Bangalore on 25th October 2009.<br />
18 teams from 20 branches took part in both the competitions which<br />
was inaugurated by Dr. Smt. S.R. Leela retired Sanskrit Professor,<br />
presently member of legislative council. Chief Guest was Shri N. Doulath<br />
Rao National additional org. secretary Presided over by Pranth President<br />
Shri C.N.N. Raju. Prize distribution function was held on the same day,<br />
Chief Guest was Shri A.V.S. Murhty Hon. Secretary RSS Trust, Prize<br />
distribution was done by Shri K.G. Subhrama Setty Chief Patron zone-<br />
XVI, Winning team Maharshi PU College, Bharadwaja Shakha,<br />
Mysore.First place in Kannada goes to T.A. Pai English School, Bhargava<br />
Shakha, Udupi, team representing Karnataka South Bangalore. First place<br />
in Folk goes to Shri Vani Education Centre, Vidyaranya Shakha Bangalore.<br />
Programme was witnessed by more than 500 persons.<br />
Dharwad, Karnataka North : Branch conducted NGSC on<br />
13.09.2009 at Mallasajjan English Medium School. K.N.K. Girls school<br />
and Vidyaranya High School were declared successful in Sanskrit group<br />
song competiton. Shri. M.V. Waddin was the chief guest Dr. Pramod<br />
Basarkar Prant officer presided over the Function. Shri Jagadesh Malgi<br />
Sanskar Pramukha and Smt. Indira J. Malgi conducted the programme.<br />
B-Block <strong>Jan</strong>akpuri, Delhi South : NGSC & NSGSC were held at<br />
30 <strong>Jan</strong>uary 2010<br />

branch level on 05.10.2009 under the Chairmanship of Shri I.D. Ojha<br />
National Working President in which 9 schools participated. The team<br />
from B-Block also secured second position in the state level competition<br />
held on 0.9.10.2009. This is the only branch in Delhi South conducting<br />
this competition at branch level since inception of the branch.<br />
Andhra Pradesh, North & East : Conducted state level NGSC in<br />
Rajahmundry on 11.10.2009. Entire town felt the Nationalism of students<br />
& BVP. 7 teams participated in Hindi & Regional NGSC. More than 250<br />
including Childrens, Musicians, teachers made the event a grand<br />
success.Shri Prakash Vidya Nikethan, Visakhapatnam and Shri Shirdi<br />
Sai Vidya Nikethan Rajahmundry stood I, II in Hindi and Shri Vignan Vihar<br />
E.M. School, Vijaywada and Shri Prakash Vidya Nikethan, stood I & II in<br />
regional languge. Chief Guest Shri Sachidananda Panda, National NGSC<br />
convener said that Nationalism & integrity were the need of the hour.<br />
Dr. Kitchlu Ludhiana, Punjab North : Branch hosted the<br />
competitions at Prant level on 25.10.2009 in the auditorium of Kundan<br />
Vidya Mandir. 89 teams from various stations of Punjab North participated<br />
in these competitions and recited patriotic group songs. Sh. S.K. Aggarwal,<br />
Chief Manager, Union Bank of India, was the Chief Guest and Sh. O.P.<br />
Sharma, Chief Manager SBI PAU campus, Guest of Honour. The<br />
programme was presided over by Sh. I.D. Ojha, National Working<br />
President whereas Sh. J.S. Nagpal, Zonal Convenor, Sanskar, was the<br />
central observer. 1st Prize in NGSC was won by D.A.V. Sen. Sec. school,<br />
Amritsar. 2nd Prize B.C.M. Arya Sen. Sec. School, Ludhiana. and 3rd<br />
Prize Apeejay School Jalandhar. In NSGSC 1st Prize : Dayanand Model<br />
Sen. Sec. School Jalandhar. 2nd Prize Apeejay School Jalandhar. and<br />
3rd Prize M.G.N. Public School, Jalandhar. The programme was<br />
sponsored by Union Bank of India and co-sponsored by SBI PAU campus.<br />
Shivajinagar Pune, Maharashtra II : Branch conducted NGSC<br />
&NSGSC on 27th of September 2009. Pune being affected by swine flu<br />
then also 40 schools participated in the competition in which 17 schools<br />
in Sanskrit and 23 schools in Hindi took part. DAV public school won the<br />
first prize in Sanskrit and BMC Junior college won the first prize in Hindi.<br />
Rajan Jog (convener Sanskar) was the main incharge of the program.<br />
