Link Light Rail Testing to Begin:
Sound Transit is gearing up for the opening of its Link light rail line. The
light rail trains, which run in their own right of way free of highway
congestion, will begin carrying passengers from the Downtown Seattle
testing is now underway in the SODO area, south of downtown Seattle.
Expanded testing along Martin Luther King Jr. Way South in the Rainier
Valley and Tukwila is scheduled to begin mid-summer 2008, followed by
the Beacon Hill and Airport segments.
