Internship and summer recruitment program
Our Internship and Summer Recruitment Program is focused on recruiting returning undergraduate- and graduate-level
students for short-term employment. Internship and summer recruitment also offers recruiting companies an excellent
opportunity to assess potential candidates for full-time employment, following graduation. The following options are
available when coordinating your internship and summer recruitment needs:
• Information Sessions
• Job Postings
• On-Campus Interviews
International business internships
International MBA (IMBA) students complete international internships as part of their program of study, which also includes
international business courses, a second-language specialization, and a regional specialization. These internships, called the
IMBA Work Term, take place in the student’s region of study (i.e. North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Europe, or
India) from May to August or from September to December. To find out more about how you and your organization could
benefit from hosting an IMBA Work Term student, please contact the Assistant Director, Internships and Corporate Services
at imba@schulich.yorku.ca.
Internship and summer recruitment
Summer
The posting of summer internships can begin during the Fall term and continue through to the beginning of the Summer
term the following year.
Internship
We recommend posting opportunities six months prior to the employment start date to allow students time to make the
appropriate arrangements and to ensure success in your recruitment efforts.
MBA students are able to pursue internship opportunities year-round. We are able to help you post Internship
opportunities that take place at any point throughout the year, with durations from two to 16 months.
BBA/iBBA students need to make special arrangements with the undergraduate Degree program to pursue internships
that take place outside of the summer term. We recommend posting year-round internships early to allow students to
make the necessary arrangements. Summer internships, however, do align well with undergraduate’s academic calendars.
