Hosting an information session<br />

Information sessions provide your organization with the opportunity to conduct a targeted recruitment presentation to<br />

a specific group <strong>of</strong> <strong>Schulich</strong> students on campus. Information sessions are typically held at two times throughout the<br />

day: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm and 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. The following locations are available to book at the <strong>Schulich</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Business</strong>, on a first-come first-serve basis:<br />

* Alternative space may be provided, depending on room availability.<br />

• Audio-visual equipment<br />

• Computer and projector<br />

• Stand and wireless microphone<br />

• DVD or VHS player<br />

• You are welcome to bring your laptop and connect to the on-site projection system<br />

• Pr<strong>of</strong>essional event management<br />

• Advance student registration<br />

• Monitor student registration numbers and communicate updates to clients and the Catering Department<br />

• Provision <strong>of</strong> a student registration table and coordination <strong>of</strong> student enrollment on the day <strong>of</strong> the event<br />

• Advertising<br />

• The Career Development Centre (<strong>CDC</strong>) communicates information sessions and recruiting events to the student community<br />

via multiple channels <strong>of</strong> communication.<br />

• <strong>CDC</strong> website<br />

• Notification to specific student clubs<br />

• Pr<strong>of</strong>essionally printed event posters<br />

• Student newspaper (depending on time <strong>of</strong> year)<br />

• Weekly <strong>CDC</strong> student newsletter<br />

• CareerQuest (<strong>CDC</strong>’s on-line recruitment system)<br />

Employers are also welcome to provide the <strong>CDC</strong> with additional posters for display. You must be targeting <strong>Schulich</strong><br />

degree-earning students at your session. Underground parking is available for a daily rate in the Student Services<br />

Parking Structure III, which connects underground to the <strong>Schulich</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong>. See pages 22 & 23 for a map and<br />

commuter instructions.<br />

Catering<br />

The Catering Department at the Executive Learning Centre <strong>of</strong>fers a full range <strong>of</strong> delectable food and beverage options<br />

for your event needs. Please note there is a $100 setup fee applied by the Catering Department to account for your<br />

event setup needs. Contact the catering department to place your order:<br />
