In the year under review, 174,240 own shares were acquired from the canton of Berne
at CHF 320 per share. Under the terms of the cross-participation with Freiburgische
Elektrizitätswerken (FEW) 127,229 own shares were exchanged for FEW shares,
and another 126,240 shares were sold to FEW at CHF 320 per share. As part of the
secondary placement of BKW shares on the SWX Swiss Exchange, 23,708 shares
were sold at CHF 320 per share. The additional shares required for these transactions
were held by BKW.
