Pierre Kohler is a lawyer and a member of the National Council (the house of
representatives). Prior to standing down from the BKW Board of Directors he was
Energy Director for the Canton of Jura as well as Chairman of the Board of Energie
du Jura SA.
Stéphane Piquerez holds a degree in economics and is a member of the management
of the Cantonal Bank of Jura and, among other things, a member of the Board of
Directors of Energie du Jura SA.
Bernhard Reutersberg Doctor of Business administration, has a diploma in business
administration. He is a member of the Board of E.ON Energie AG in Munich.
Laurent Schaffter holds a degree in engineering and, as a member of the State Council,
is Energy Director for the Canton of Jura. He is also Chairman of the Board of Energie
du Jura SA. Prior to his election to the Cantonal Council of Jura he was a director of
AJOTEX SA.
Ulrich Sinzig is an advocate and a director of Aare Seeland Mobil AG. Among his other
positions, he is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Federal Railways
(SBB), Vice Chairman of the International Association for Public Transport, and Vice
Chairman of the Swiss Tourist Board.
Walter von Känel is a businessman, a director of Longines SA and a member of the
Swatch Group management board. He is also President of the Association Patronale de
l’Horlogerie et de la Microtechnique as well as a member of the Union du Commerce
et de l’Industrie du Jura bernois, the Saint-Imier State Council and the Assemblée
interjurassienne. Before being appointed as director of Longines SA, he worked in a
watch dial factory.
Walter von Siebenthal is a farmer and hotelier and is Chairman of the Board of
Directors of the Montreux-Oberland Railway.
Philippe Virdis has a degree in engineering and is General Director of EEF and ENSA,
Chairman of the Board of EEF Connect SA and Cisel Informatique SA, and Vice
Chairman of Forces Motrices Hongrin-Léman SA and Frigaz SA. He is also a member
of the Board of Hydro Exploitation SA, Capital Risque Fribourg SA, Schneider Electric
(Schweiz) AG and Béroche-Energie SA, as well as a board member of Electrosuisse
(the Association for Electrical, Energy and Information Technology) and VSE (The
Association of Swiss Electricity Companies).
