• Contact a Drives Engineer for technical troubleshooting/ RMA Qualification at (800) 279-4007.<br />
• <strong>TECO</strong>-<strong>Westinghouse</strong> will email or fax an RMA Request Form to complete. Completed RMA Request Form should be<br />
returned via e-mail or faxed to 512-218-7378 for processing.<br />
• An RMA number will be issued and sent via e-mail or fax. Detailed instructions on where to ship the drive for warranty<br />
evaluation/ repair will be included with the RMA number.<br />
****** IF PRODUCT IS NOT RETURNED WITHIN 30 DAYS, THE RMA WILL BE CLOSED. ******<br />
• The Drive is then evaluated and a Service Report is generated detailing the failure. (The evaluation process should<br />
take no longer than 5 working days).<br />
• A copy of the Service Report will be sent to the requesting party via e-mail or fax.<br />
• If the Drive is determined to have failed under Warranty, either of the following will take place, whichever is deemed<br />
more appropriate:<br />
1. The drive will be repaired and returned to the customer.<br />
2. The drive will be determined to be un-repairable and will be replaced.<br />
3. If the drive is determined to be functioning properly, the drive will be returned to the customer<br />
and considered non-warranty.<br />
**** If credit is being issued, the Controls Group will fax a copy to the customer. ****<br />
If the failure/ problem is determined to be a non-warranty situation, one of the following three actions will take place.<br />
1. The drive will be returned to the customer via freight collect. There might be a $90.00 inspection fee.<br />
2. If the drive is repairable, an estimate will be sent. <strong>TECO</strong>-<strong>Westinghouse</strong> will have to receive a PO before any repairs are<br />
completed. There is a $90.00 inspection fee for this evaluation. If <strong>TECO</strong>-<strong>Westinghouse</strong> repairs the drive, this $90.00 will<br />
be credited to the repair charges.<br />
3. If the drive is un-repairable or <strong>TECO</strong>-<strong>Westinghouse</strong> is directed to not repair the unit, TWMC will return the drive via<br />
freight collect at the customers option.<br />
Please Note: All repairable and “properly functioning“ drives will be returned even if an offsetting order has been made<br />
for a replacement unit.
