As we enter the winter months,
it is clear that a number of
events have caught your
attention. The events teams,
now ably led by our new Head of
Marketing and Events, Michael
Bedingfield, are constantly striving to
improve the quality and variety of
events on offer. I hope that many of you
will turn out on Sunday 6 November to
admire and enjoy the unique London to
Brighton Veteran Car Run. Last
December the club was honoured with
the FIA Heritage Cup in recognition of
our outstanding promotion of the event,
and this year for the first time members
are encouraged to attend a Gala Dinner
in Brighton on the Sunday evening. New
for 2011 is the Regent Street Motor
Show, which combines the traditional
veteran concours with the Brighton to
Club Introduction
London Future Car Challenge that takes
place for the second time on Saturday 5
November. This occasion will produce a
unique array of pioneering and exciting
cars through the history of motoring.
Not to be missed!
As the year draws to an end, the Pall
Mall clubhouse will be lit up to show off
the spectacular building that our
founders had the vision to design and
build one hundred years ago. It is also
fitting that we are putting finishing
touches to our plans for the Business
Centre attached to the Pall Mall
clubhouse at such a historic time.
Finally, a word of welcome to Josie
Bruin in her new capacity as Assistant
Secretary. Josie has been with the club
for 32 years, and I am delighted she has
agreed to take on this challenge.
