YOUR ITINERARY:<br />

Day 1. Travel north to our hotel in Dundee.<br />

Day 2. We visit Captain Scott’s ship, RRS Discovery this morning. Continue to<br />

Glamis Castle, home of the Queen Mother.<br />

Day 3. Travel to Perth for some free time and visit to Scone Palace.<br />

Day 4. Excursion to Edinburgh with a visit to Holyrood Palace. Free afternoon and<br />

optional visit to Royal Yacht Britannia.<br />

Day 5. Return home via Gretna Green.<br />

The Western Highlands has majestic mountain peaks, countless locks and rivers and<br />

a rich and glorious heritage. As well as the amazing scenery there is an opportunity<br />

to witness some of the extraordinary wildlife during our Isle of Jura Coast Cruise.<br />

YOUR HOTEL: 3* Crianlarich Hotel, Crianlarich<br />

YOUR ITINERARY:<br />

Day 1. Travel to our hotel at Crianlarich for a welcome tea and shortbread.<br />

Day 2. Travel by train to Fort William, which takes a very scenic route. Free time at<br />

Fort William, before travelling by coach to see Telford’s Neptune’s Staircase, a<br />

series of lock gates on the Caledonian Canal. Travel back to your hotel by coach.<br />

Day 3. Perthshire tour travelling along Glen Dochart, Killin and Loch Tay. Continue<br />

on to Creiff with a visit to Glenturret Distillery, makers of the famous Grouse, for a<br />

tour and wee dram. Returning via Loch Earn and Glen Ogle. Tonight we enjoy a<br />

Scottish Night and Highland Banquet.<br />

Day 4. Today we head for Oban, with free time before driving along the coast to<br />

Ardfern for our afternoon cruise with commentary. We will pass a seal colony & sea<br />

eagle nesting site while looking out for dolphins, basking sharks and maybe even a<br />

minke whale.<br />

Day 5. Leave after breakfast for our<br />

journey home.<br />

Day 2. Today we board the ferry across to the Isle of Arran for a short tour and free<br />

Transport Museum.<br />

Day 4. Tour along the Ayrshire Coast to Ayr with free time before continuing on to<br />

Culzean Castle and Country Park near Turnberry.<br />

Day 5. Today we follow the lochs via Arrochar and Tarbet on to Balloch, where we<br />

board the boat for our Loch Lomond Cruise.<br />

Day 6. Depart after breakfast for our homeward Journey.<br />

Situated at the top of Main Street, overlooking the village green with their Bailey’s<br />

YOUR ITINERARY:<br />

Day 1. Travel to Northumberland, arriving late afternoon.<br />

Day 2. Travel to Craster, home of the famous kippers before we continue to<br />

Woodhorn Northumberland Museum and Country Park. Return via Alnwick.<br />

Day 3. We visit the villages of Ford and Etal. Included are visits to Lady Waterford<br />

Hall, a ride on the Heatherslaw steam light railway and Heatherslaw cornmill.<br />

Continue along the Tweed Valley to Kelso.<br />

Day 4. We aim to cross the causeway to Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle<br />

(subject to tide times). Some free time at Bamburgh.<br />

Day 5. Travel to Rothbury, once a popular health resort before continuing to Kielder<br />

Water, Europe’s largest man made lake for a cruise around the lake.<br />

Day 6. After breakfast we begin our journey home.<br />
