YOUR ITINERARY:<br />

Day 1. Depart to your hotel in Cornwall.<br />

Day 2. Today we visit the town of St Ives, surrounded by magnificent coastal<br />

scenery, home of the Tate St Ives. We visit Barbara Hepworth Museum and<br />

Sculpture Gardens.<br />

Day 3. Departing Penzance Quay we sail with informative commentary to the Isle<br />

of Scilly. Enjoy some free time to explore St Mary’s before returning.<br />

Day 4. Tour to Falmouth, famous for its maritime heritage. Return via Helston.<br />

Day 5. After breakfast we start our journey home.<br />

Day 2. Excursion to Lavenham for a guided walking tour known as “England’s Finest<br />

Medieval Village”, a quaint village with fine examples of timber framed Tudor<br />

buildings. Continue to Flatford, home of the 18th century mill made famous in<br />

Constable paintings, before visiting the delightful village of Dedham. Return via the<br />

seaside resort of Frinton on Sea.<br />

Day 3. Travel to the ancient town of Maldon for a boat trip. Sail past Heybridge<br />

towards Osea Island then back in the opposite direction past Hythe Quay with its<br />

attractive fleet of Thames sailing barges. Free time.<br />

Day 4. Excursion to Saffron Walden and a visit to Audley End House and Gardens,<br />

one of England’s grandest homes. It has beautiful interiors and an impressive<br />

collection of artwork. Visit the restored servants quarters and fully restored stables.<br />

Returning to the hotel via the medieval town of Bury St Edmunds.<br />

Day 5. Depart after breakfast for home.<br />

Day 1. Travel on to your hotel in Lancaster.<br />

Day 2. Travel to Foulridge, we board the ”Marton Emperor” for a cruise on the<br />

Leeds/Liverpool Canal. Travel to Settle before continuing into the Dales National Park<br />

with spectacular scenery, travelling via Ribblehead, Ingleborough, Ingleton and<br />

Kirkby Lonsdale.<br />

Day 3. Explore Lancaster, famous for its castle and tale of Pendle Witches,<br />

Williamson Park and shops. Then we join the Lancaster Waterbus Service for a<br />

delightful canal journey, enjoying the countryside as<br />

we glide gently along.<br />

Day 4. Travel to Lakeside on Lake Windermere, join<br />

the lake “Steamer” to Bowness. Travel to Glenridding<br />

for our second cruise along beautiful Lake Ullswater.<br />

Returning via Kendal.<br />
