Th e offi ce also coordinates the Volunteer Victim Advocate<br />
program, recruiting, training and supervising volunteers who<br />
provide support to victims. A wide variety of brochures, fl yers<br />
and pamphlets and a library of books and videos on sexual<br />
assault, sexual abuse and domestic violence are available for<br />
checkout by all <strong>Schriever</strong> AFB personnel.<br />

Wing Command Post<br />
Th e 50th Space Wing Command Post is the “eyes and<br />
ears” for the 50th Space Wing commander. It gathers and<br />
disseminates information to assist leadership in making<br />
critical decisions that aff ect the base and its assets. Th e<br />
WCP provides command and control for 14 worldwide<br />
operational space units. WCP personnel act as the wing<br />
liaison interfacing with 14th <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong>, Headquarters <strong>Air</strong><br />
<strong>Force</strong> Space Command, HQ <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong>, Joint Chief of Staff<br />
and the Offi ce of the President. Th e command post can be<br />

Wing Safety<br />
Th e 50th Space Wing Safety offi ce, located in Building<br />
210, Room 148-B, is responsible for implementing federal,<br />
state and local safety programs and manages the 50th Space<br />
Wing commander’s safety program.<br />
Wing Safety provides training and advice on operational<br />
risk management, weapons safety, space safety, system<br />
safety, traffi c safety, supervisor safety, local conditions and<br />
general industry and construction safety. Safety provides<br />
reimbursements to military and department of defense<br />
civilians after completion of motorcycle safety training.<br />
Safety offi ce personnel also review technical change requests,<br />
plans and permits to ensure safe construction, system<br />
modifi cations or upgrades assuring mission capability and<br />
personnel safety.<br />
Safety conducts scheduled and no-notice safety inspections<br />
of all units on base and geographically separated units around<br />
the world to identify hazards and make recommendations to<br />
commanders for corrective action.<br />
Wing Safety also investigates all mishaps to include ground<br />
(military—on/off base regardless of duty status) and space to<br />
fi nd root causes and make recommendations to commanders<br />
to prevent future mishaps.<br />
Additionally, Safety investigates all reported hazards.<br />
Hazards should be corrected at the lowest level; however,<br />
they will be investigated when reported. Contact a unit<br />
ground safety representative or orbital safety offi cer for<br />
mishap reporting and hazard reporting procedures.<br />

50th Operations Group<br />
Th e 50th Operations Group directs the Department of<br />
Defense’s largest satellite operations group providing combat<br />
eff ects to all levels of confl ict via secure communication,<br />
navigation, space surveillance and intelligence operations of<br />
50 satellites for national leadership, U.S. and allied forces<br />
and civil and federal agencies. 50th OG conducts defensive<br />
counterspace, ensuring space superiority. Th e group leads<br />
eight active duty, Reserve and Guard units with 1,300 space<br />
professionals operating $46 billion in assets through 39<br />
global command, control and communication facilities.<br />
50th Operations Support Squadron<br />
Th e 50th Operations Support Squadron leads<br />
operational training programs and policies to<br />
ensure combat readiness for the DoD’s largest<br />
satellite wing with hundreds of operators and<br />
multiple operational squadrons operating<br />
50 satellites worth more than $47 billion. In<br />
support of operational readiness, 50th OSS provides<br />
22,000 hours of comprehensive weapon system training and<br />
produces more than 5,100 training materials in the form of<br />
lesson plans, study guides, tests and computer based training<br />
each year. To provide 2,000 hours of hands-on simulator<br />
training per year, its personnel also maintain $6.2 million,<br />
