576th Flight Test Squadron<br />

Th e 576th Flight Test Squadron executes the JCS-directed<br />

ICBM <strong>Force</strong> Development Evaluation test program and<br />

executes AFSPC’s operational tests for the Department<br />

of Defense. Th e 576th FLTS performs ground and fl ight<br />

tests in operationally representative environments and<br />

collects, analyzes and reports performance accuracy, anomaly<br />

assessment, reliability, aging and surveillance data to the Joint<br />

Staff , <strong>Air</strong> Staff , U.S. Strategic Command and other higher<br />

headquarters.<br />

25th Space Range Squadron<br />

Th e 25th Space Range Squadron is responsible for the<br />

operation of the Space Test and Training Range, a capability<br />

that allows units to exercise space capabilities in a safe,<br />

secure and realistic environment while eliminating the<br />

risk of unintended collateral eff ects. Th e 25th SRS owns<br />

the Advanced Concepts Environment, which simulates a<br />

target, weapon system and environment for training and<br />

rapid reaction prototype development. Th e 25th SRS has<br />

also deployed equipment and personnel to support theater<br />

operations.<br />

3rd Space Experimentation Squadron<br />

Th e 3rd Space Experimentation Squadron is AFSPC’s<br />

premier organization for space-based demonstrations,<br />

pathfi nders and experiments. Th e unit identifi es concepts<br />

of employment, training, education and technical skill sets<br />

required to fi eld selected future AFSPC missions. 3rd SES will<br />

develop a core cadre of space professionals to serve as subject<br />

matter experts for all future AFSPC space-based endeavors,<br />

demonstrate operational utility of selected demonstrations<br />

and apply lessons learned from demonstrations and<br />

pathfi nders for use in future initiatives.<br />

Space Test Integration Offi ce<br />

Th e Space Test Integration Offi ce creates structured<br />

interfaces between developmental and operational test<br />

organizations, bridging gaps between the Space Innovation<br />

and Development Center, Space and Missile Systems Center,<br />

Electronic Systems Center and other test and logistics centers.<br />

Th e STIO is the command focal point for strengthening<br />

Integrated Test Team processes and is responsible for<br />

enhancing warfi ghting capability through the eff ective<br />

integration of operational and developmental testing within<br />

the acquisition life-cycle of space and missile forces.<br />

<strong>310</strong>th Space Wing<br />

Th e <strong>310</strong>th Space Wing is the only space wing in the <strong>Air</strong><br />

<strong>Force</strong> Reserve. Th e unit was activated Sept. 4, 1997, and<br />

reports directly to 10th <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong>. Th e <strong>310</strong>th <strong>SW</strong> mission<br />

is to provide specialized expertise, continuity and combat<br />

ready personnel, projecting space power for U.S. interests<br />

worldwide.<br />

6th Space Operations Squadron<br />

Th e 6th Space Operations Squadron at <strong>Schriever</strong> operates<br />

Defense Meteorological Satellite Program satellites in support<br />

of the Department of Defense, Department of Commerce<br />

and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.<br />
