The objective of this session is to review the current state of the art and translational<br />

pipeline of ultrasound for guiding and/or assisting in thrombolysis.<br />

Thrombolysis experts will describe the various approaches currently being used in<br />

the clinic for stroke, deep vein thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism. The session<br />

will include clinical research presentations (case studies and randomized controlled<br />

trials), a technology review (various approaches, ie, invasive, noninvasive, and<br />

regulatory-approved indications), and basic science and mechanisms behind using<br />

ultrasound in thrombolysis.<br />
