CHIROPTERA description Males are bright red to reddishbrown in color and females are usually yellowish with a reddish tint. Dense, soft fur covers the body, including the uropatagium (the skin connecting its legs and tail). habitat Red bats roost among the foliage in forests, forest edges, and hedgerows. did you know? Some red bats, as well as other forest dwelling bats, travel to warmer southern states for the winter.
