Surprise Your Student for a<br />
Special Occasion<br />
If you need a gift to celebrate your student’s birthday,<br />
accomplishment, or other special occassion try ordering it from<br />
these local merchants on or around the Storrs campus. All vendors<br />
listed here are either located within walking distance <strong>of</strong> the UConn<br />
Storrs campus or can deliver to your student. It is indicated below<br />
if the establishment delivers or students must pick the gift up.<br />
UConn Dairy Bar (Pick-up only)<br />
Hours: January & February 11am-5pm; March 11am-6pm; April<br />
& May 11am-7pm; June-August 11am-10pm; September-December<br />
Sunday-Thursday 11am-7pm and Friday-Saturday 11am-10pm<br />
A UConn Dairy Bar custom ice cream cake would make a great<br />
gift for your student on their birthday. You can see sample photos<br />
<strong>of</strong> custom cake creations if you visit http://www.dairybar.uconn.<br />
edu/customCakes.html. To place an order for a custom cake call<br />
(860) 486-2634 or (860) 486-1021 at least 48 hours in advance.<br />
Please note that the UConn Dairy Bar does not accept emailed<br />
orders.<br />
UConn Dining Services (Pick-up only)<br />
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-7:15pm<br />
The Department <strong>of</strong> Dining Services operates an in-house bakery<br />
called “Not Just Desserts.” Birthday cakes and 10-inch chocolate<br />
chip cookies can be decorated with a special message <strong>of</strong> your<br />
choice. Orders will be sent to the dining hall <strong>of</strong> convienence and<br />
students will receive a call notifying them that there is an item<br />
to be picked up. Orders should be placed at least one week in<br />

Insomnia Cookies (Pick-up and Delivery)<br />
Hours: Monday-Friday 1:00pm-3:00am<br />
Delivery Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00pm-2:45am<br />
New to Storrs, Insomnia Cookies delivers warm cookies, milk, and<br />
other treats to your student until 3:00 a.m. Late night cookies are<br />
a favorite <strong>of</strong> students as they are studying hard or hanging out with<br />
friends. You can get them a gift card or even a custom cookie cake.<br />
