Features: Bushy shrub to 2m with small elliptic<br />
leaves and purple butterfly shaped flowers. Hard<br />
seeds germinate prolifically especially after fire and<br />
disturbance. Tolerates wide range of conditions.<br />
Dispersal: Seed is spread by water, ants, birds, soil<br />
and dumped garden waste.<br />
Similar Native Plants: Indigofera australis<br />
(Austral Indigo).<br />

Features: Small to medium, bushy, soft wooded<br />
shrub. Long, oval leaves with a pointed tip, rank<br />
smelling when crushed. Flowers are small and white,<br />
greenish or tinged red in a dense spike, followed by<br />
shiny purple/black berries. Stems often reddish.<br />
Dispersal: Spread by birds and foxes. Mainly in<br />
disturbed sites, also invades bushland.<br />
Warning: All plant parts are poisonous and cause<br />
skin irritations.<br />
