This fine piece came out of the Baltimore area. A comparable desk ordered by G Washington for<br />

Mt Vernon in 1797 from J Aitken, Phila can be seen at this webpage (with crest) another site<br />

(without crest), about halfway down the page.<br />

There is also a comparable desk with eglomoise panels displayed at the Westervelt Warner<br />

museum in Tuscaloosa, Alabama www.WarnerMuseum.org (that desk is not displayed on their<br />

website but is discussed in the book An <strong>American</strong> Odyssey, pg 171/1).<br />

beautiful polished finish. 60" long (three 18" leaves and one 9" leaf), opens to ten and a half feet. A<br />

rare table representing the finest of the Rococo period.<br />

8' 6" x 11' 8" handmade Bidjar rug, red field dark blue stepped medallions, red and blue diamond<br />

shaped medallions, overall floral patern, dark blue, gray, green colors and borders. Good condition.<br />

Late 1800 Chippendale Revival partners desk, solid mahogany, molded top, drawers on both sides, leaf<br />

carved and shell arched knee hole, reeded corner columns, leaf carving on cabriole legs, ball and claw<br />

feet, 54"l 30"d 32"t 25"t writing surface. Good original finish/condition.<br />

Very fine handmade Bijar rug, 12'4" x 18'9", red field, overall diamond and rosette pattern, many<br />

surface, fitted and drawer interior over three set back drawers, interesting fan and diamond carved panel<br />

19th century Rococo Victorian pull down candelabra lamp, solid brass, French, large 16" domed white<br />

glass shade, spiral double hanging chains with scroll leaf and berry motif, three sets of double<br />

candelabra brackets around shade, tall lift out kerosene font, 51"t 24" across. Has dents on font, good<br />

recent polish, original burner.<br />

Mid 1800 Rococo Victorian hanging candelabra lamp, French, bronzed finish, 14" diameter white glass<br />

shade, molded double chains, double candelabra brackets on scroll, brackets with knight and dragon<br />

motif, majolica floral motif font with lift out tank, 52"t 23" across. Original burner, original finish.<br />

Rococo style bronze five arm chandelier, twenty candle lights, lady statue on floral globe, scroll arms,<br />

large 4" teardrops faceted prisms, 32"t 25" diameter. Good finish/condition.<br />

<strong>Fine</strong> pair heavy solid brass Renaissance Revival Chenets, large double handle urn with leaf garlands,<br />

pineapple finial, blocked feet, 16"t 14"w 5"d. Excellent recent finish.<br />

Very fine Sarouk rug, 8' x 11'2", cranberry field, overall rosette and floral pattern, multiple borders,<br />
