MARIE CURIE CANCER CARE’S
GREAT DAFFODIL APPEAL
The Daffodil Appeal is running
throughout March. On Saturday
14 March it is Daffodil Day and
celebrations will be held in
Wimbledon Town Centre with the
help of some local dance and theatre
groups. Marie Curie Cancer Care
volunteers will also be collecting on
the day and handing out daffodils.
Their aim is to get everyone
supporting the charity and wearing
their daffodils with pride.
They are also looking for local
people to volunteer a few hours
of their time and help with the
collection. All funds raised will go to
help people with terminal illness get
the best possible care at the end of
their lives. Marie Curie Cancer Care
nurses care for these people within
their own homes, giving high quality
nursing care and support to the
patient and their family.
