The inl<strong>and</strong> port dues will be calculated per type <strong>of</strong> vessel with the use <strong>of</strong> the schedule printed below by multiplying the<br />

applicable tariff by the applicable unit (a, b or c).<br />

2.2 RAISES AND DISCOUNTS<br />

* The rates include a recovery rebate <strong>and</strong> only apply to calls starting as <strong>of</strong> January 1 st 2012. The rates exclude VAT.<br />

The different types <strong>of</strong> vessels are classified in the following categories. Depending on the applicable category either a raise<br />

or a discount on the basic tariff will be applied. Raises are used for the funding <strong>of</strong> the Stimulation Program for cleaner Inl<strong>and</strong><br />

Vessels <strong>and</strong> transferred by HbR NV to the Expertise- en InnovatieCentrum Binnenvaart (EICB). HbR NV automatically<br />

classifies every type <strong>of</strong> vessel into category 1. If this classification is not right, the Client needs to apply for a different<br />

classification by filling out an application form that can be downloaded from [www.port<strong>of</strong>rotterdam.com/portdues].<br />

3 RATES FOR WASTE FEE<br />

3.1 RATES<br />

In the <strong>Port</strong>, the amounts <strong>of</strong> the waste fee, the processing charges <strong>and</strong> the collection fee are based on the capacity <strong>of</strong> the<br />

main engine (MEC) as set out below in both schedules. The fees are owed to HbR NV wether or not waste is actually issued.<br />
