5. Nux Vomica, Nettle, and Cocaine are given here for <strong>the</strong>ir power<br />
<strong>of</strong> excitation in one way or ano<strong>the</strong>r. The attribution <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> last named is<br />
doubtful as its apparent stimulating function is really due to its function<br />
as a local anæs<strong>the</strong>tic. Atropine is given here on account <strong>of</strong> its power to<br />
balance <strong>the</strong> influence <strong>of</strong> Morphia.<br />
6. These drugs are all direct cardiac stimulants. Alcohol in<br />
particular pertains to Bacchus. Fur<strong>the</strong>r, it is an omniform menstruum<br />
for <strong>the</strong> Astral Light.<br />
7-8. Cannabis Indica and Anhalonium Lewinii appear to act on both<br />
<strong>the</strong>se Sephiroth. Their action is very similar. They produce in one<br />
mood voluptuous visions which pertain to Venus, and in ano<strong>the</strong>r confer<br />
<strong>the</strong> power <strong>of</strong> self-analysis, which is Mercurial.<br />
9. This attribution refers to its alleged aphrodisiac action.<br />
10. Corn is <strong>the</strong> typical stimulant <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Nephesch as such.<br />
