umjetnost, strast i tehnologija. Odluka da se izgradi ta impozantna
građevina zapravo je donesena zbog vrlo prakti čnih razloga. Naime,
Vlasnik Red Bulla, austrijski milijarder Dietrich Mateshitz, inače
strastveni kolekcionar zrakolova i vlasnik fl ote Flying Bulls, ponosno
je otvorio Hangar 7, u ljeto 2003. Konstrukcija, 100 metara duga i
60 metara široka, neodoljivo podsjeća na školjku, a prostrana kupola
u unutrašnjosti teži 1 500 tona. Planiranje i izgradnja unikatnog
facility. In fact it is a worthy home of unique aircraft . The impressive
glass and steel constructi on is an excepti onal juxtapositi on of art,
passion and technology. The decision to build this imposing structure
was made for very practi cal reasons, however: the Flying Bulls needed
a new home for their collecti on of historic aircraft . The idea was
to create a place that would unite the love of fl ying and of art and
here it was accomplished with more than a litt le success. The owner
of Red Bull and the Flying Bulls aircraft fl eet, Austrian billionaire Dietrich
Mateshitz, proudly opened Hangar7 in the summer of 2003.
The enti re constructi on spans 100 meters by 60 and is reminiscent
of a shell with its spacious dome and, despite 1500 tons of constructi
on, the way it hangs seems almost weightless. Not surprisingly,
planning and constructi on took 4 years. Hangar 7 today plays host to
innumerable art exhibiti ons – predominantly aviati on-related – and
