Take heed of the special features of photovoltaic installations − Modules are always live in daylight. − Modules are first protected by fuse at the DC switch: therefore, in the event of a failure, (short circuit, earth fault), the system will continue to operate on the DC side. − When separating contacts under load, non-extinguishing arcs may form. Do not insert (electrically conductive) parts into module connectors or jacks. Do not mount wet plug-and-socket connectors onto solar modules or cables. Tools and working environment should be dry. Observe installation instructions from the inverter manufacturer. Do not use damaged modules. Keep modules, inverters and other live components in the system away from children. Undertake all cabling work with extreme care. Safety instructions from the manufacturers of other system components must be followed. General warnings! Do not remove any parts or identification plates mounted by the manufacturer. Do not dismantle modules. Do not expose modules to artificially concentrated sun light. Do not apply paint to modules or bring them into contact with sharp objects. Do not clean modules with solvent-based cleaning agents. Check the structural stability of the building and the system to be constructed prior to installation. The modules are only designed for use in temperate climatic conditions. The modules must be mounted on a fire-resistant roof covering. The modules are rated for use in application class A: dangerous voltage (IEC 61730: greater than 50 V (DC); EN 61730: greater than 120 V (DC); installations with dangerous output where it is generally expected that access will be unrestricted. Under standard conditions, the module may furnish higher current and/or higher voltage than that shown under test conditions. In order to determine the voltage rating of components, the current rating of conductors, the size of fuses and the rating of control devices connected to the output terminals of PV modules, the Isc and Voc values stated on the module should be multiplied by a factor of 1.25.
