May 21, 1908, New York: Attempt to dynamite New Haven<br />
drawbridge over Bronx river; suitcase found in river<br />
contained 103 sticks <strong>of</strong> dynamite <strong>and</strong> two coils <strong>of</strong> fuse.<br />
June 2, 1908, Clevel<strong>and</strong>: Twenty-ton steel derrick wrecked,<br />
v/all <strong>of</strong> steel building twisted out <strong>of</strong> shape, <strong>and</strong> part<br />
<strong>of</strong> railroad siding torn out by dynamite; loss $500;<br />
foui-teen unexploded sticks <strong>of</strong> dynamite found attached<br />
to partly burned fuse.<br />
August 9, 1908, St. Louis: Two charges <strong>of</strong> d\Tiamite exploded<br />
on bridge being repaired by non-union men.<br />
March 27, 1909, Boston: Southeast side <strong>of</strong> new opera house<br />
destroyed by dynamite; being erected by non-union men.<br />
July 9, 1909, Detroit: Guncotton placed under pile <strong>of</strong> steel<br />
girders; explosion destroyed girders, <strong>and</strong> considerably<br />
damaged nearby factories.<br />
September 5, 1909, Hoboken: Dynamite <strong>and</strong> fuse discovered<br />
on viaduct, after four men were frightened away.<br />
October 25, 1909, Indianapolis: Several buildings dynamited<br />
at practically same time; damage about $15,000. Dynamitings<br />
followed emplo^mient <strong>of</strong> non-union m-en.<br />
November 4, 1909, Clevel<strong>and</strong>: Crane, freight cars, tracks <strong>and</strong><br />
foundations in vicinity wrecked by dynamite. Watchman<br />
narrowly escaped death; damage $40,000.<br />
April 19, 1910, Clinton, Ind. : Explosions wrecked two piers<br />
<strong>of</strong> railroad bridge to such an extent that traffic was<br />
ab<strong>and</strong>oned.<br />
August 20, 1910, Oalil<strong>and</strong>: Lumber mill wrecked by ex-<br />
ploding djTiamite. (Fourth time in t^vo years.)<br />
September 4, 1910, Peoria: Plant badly damaged by three<br />
explosions <strong>of</strong> dynamite; six adjacent buildings dam-<br />
aged. Watchman seriously injured.<br />
September 15, 1910, Chicago: Woodwork, windows <strong>and</strong><br />
masonry <strong>of</strong> building completely shattered by explosion<br />
<strong>of</strong> bomb, with time fuse placed at entrance. Had explosion<br />
occun-ed few mJnutes later, night watchman<br />
would have been killed. (Explosion followed \'isit <strong>of</strong><br />
delegation from Chicago Federation <strong>of</strong> Labor.)<br />
