What happens when you have
a craving for a warm and gooey
brownie and have none in the house?
Well you make one special brownie
just for you. ese ingredients are
usually on hand in my house and
only take two minutes to make.
Seriously...two minutes is all it takes.
Careful though, I think this recipe will
be super dangerous to have in your
possession when a craving strikes.
Two Minute Mug Brownie
1/4 cup our
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Pinch salt
2 Tbsp canola or other mild vegetable
oil
2 Tbsp milk, coee or water
In a heatproof mug or ramekin,
stir together the dry ingredients until
no lumps remain. Stir in the oil and
In a nonstick skillet
well sprayed with
cooking spray, brown
the chops in a single
layer over moderate
heat. In saucepan,
put pork chops and
remaining ingredients
except the apple slices. Cover tightly
and lower the heat. Simmer the
mixture, turning chops occasionally,
for about 1 hour until the chops are
very tender. (Add water if necessary.)
Uncover the saucepan and simmer
the mixture until nearly all the liquid
milk until you have a thick paste.
Microwave on high for a
minute, checking it after 30
seconds (microwaves vary)—it
will be done when it’s springy on
top but still a bit gooey—like the
very best brownie. Eat warm.
I am a huge fan of the slow cooker
and use mine several times a week. I
always forget to plan for my breakfast
every day and usually grab something
as I am running out the door to work
that usually is not good for me. is
oatmeal solved that dilemma for me.
apples. Cover and cook for about 5-7
minutes until the apples are barely
tender. Makes 4 servings. 305 calories
Vegetable
Beef Soup
2 cups
of fattrimmed
cubed lean
beef
2 cans (10 1/2 oz. each) condensed
beef broth
2 soup cans of water (2 1/2cups)
e steel cut oatmeal is less processed
than the quick cook oatmeal and is
so much better for your body. If you
need to sweeten a little, add a little
honey or if you would like this a little
creamier, add some milk. Also, my
slow cooker cooks a little hot so mine
was starting to burn. If yours cooks a
little warmer, one suggestion would
be to add a little more liquid to it.
e rst time cooking this I cooked
during the day so I could judge how
they cooked in my slow cooker.
is oatmeal is worth the wait.
