18.) Heaven is where Jesus is.
Above all, the thing that will really make heaven heaven is that it is the abiding place
of the Lord Jesus Christ. We will get to spend eternity with Him.
Many might say, “I would have loved to have seen Jesus walk on water, hear Him
teach or perform His miracles, to have seen Him feed the 5,000, or heal the blind and
the lame. I would have loved to have seen Him raise Lazarus back to life.” Indeed all
of that would have been wonderful, but we are going to get to see something even
better in heaven, because we’re going to get to see Him in all His glory.
In John 17:24 Jesus prayed: “Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be
with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou has given me.”
In heaven we will get to see Jesus Christ face to face in the fullness of His glory.
