The Nature of Rewards in <strong>Heaven</strong>:<br />
1.) Rewards of RESPONSIBILITY<br />
One believer given authority over 5 cities, another over 10 cities. (Luke 19:11-27)<br />
Faithfulness over a few things will gain you more. (Matt. 25:21)<br />
2.) Rewards of ADORNMENT<br />
FIVE DIFFERENT CROWNS:<br />
1. INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN - Victor’s Crown (1 Cor. 9:24-27). The Victor’s<br />
wreath was bestowed upon athletes and military. “Strive” means to give maximum effort in the<br />
area of mastery, or the exercising of self-control (temperance). The unbeliever satisfies his<br />
lusts and cravings of the body, but the believer strives for self-control.<br />
2. CROWN OF REJOICING - Soul Winner’s Crown (1 Thess. 2:19, 20; Phil. 4:1)<br />
Every time we come across someone in <strong>Heaven</strong> who is present as a result of our witness, our<br />
prayers, or our testimony, it will be an experience crowned with rejoicing. Each one<br />
contributing to the leading of a soul to the Lord will be given a crown of rejoicing.<br />
