3. The inhabitants of this city
a. The holy and elect angels (Heb. 12:22; Rev. 5:11)
b. The twenty-four elders (Rev. 4:4)
c. The Church (Heb. 12:22, 23; Rev. 19:1, 7, 8; Rev. 21:1, 9-11)
d. Saved Israel -although the New Jerusalem is basically a wedding present from Christ
to the bride (the Church), saved Israel will also dwell within these walls (Heb. 11:16;
Matt.25:10, 23)
