With N-5000 pressure measuring unit the impression pressure on
polishing machines in the electroplating department as well as the
doctor blade pressure on proof printing presses and production run can
be measured quickly and precisely.
These measuring results are important factors to achieve constant
production conditions for cylinder production and for printing presses.

Technical data (subject to technical modifications)
N-5000 Pressure Measuring Unit is an electronic test equipment with
digital display. The measuring range was designed up to 5000 N. High
measuring exactness (+/- 0.2 %) is achieved by a pressure transducer.
The measuring principle is based on the DMS-technique. Within a
temperature range of 0 to 70 °C this measuring unit is temperature
compensated. An overload protection of 50 % guarantees troublefree
function even with extreme load.
Measuring arrangement A shows measurement of impression pressure
on polishing machines. The pressure measuring unit is directly fixed to
the aluminium plate and guarantees a reliable measuring result for any
angle of attack.
Control of doctor blade impression pressure is effected like shown in
measuring arrangement B. The pressure measuring unit is located on a
prism which is directly placed on the blade point. The measuring result
corresponds to the real active blade pressure, which is unfortunately not
always displayed exactly on rotogravure presses.
THE COMPLETE MEASURING SYSTEM IS CALIBRATED BY THE
MANUFACTURER AND DOCUMENTED WITH TESTING CERTIFICATE.
