WHAT ARE
BORDEAUX FUTURES?
Each year, Bordeaux wines – from up-and-coming
producers and renowned châteaux alike – are
tasted while they’re still in the barrel by VINTAGES
buyers and international wine critics. Once the
reviews are in (and in 2010 they’re said to be
extraordinary!), a large portion of the wine is sold
in advance to consumers, then shipped after
two years of ageing. There’s lots of choice now,
but when this historic vintage hits store shelves
in 2013, the selection will be limited and prices
will likely be higher. In fact, some of these wines
are produced in very small quantities and often
sell out as Futures, never seeing the inside of
a retail store.

GET STARTED?
For the 2010 Bordeaux Futures on offer,
VINTAGES has provided scores from our buyers
as well as tasting notes and scores from the
major international reviewers to help you decide
which products to buy.

All wines are now available for immediate
ordering. Call VINTAGES at 416-365-5767 or toll-free
at 1-800-266-4764. Monday to Friday, from
8:30 am until 6 pm, and Saturday 9 am to 6 pm
excluding holidays.
PLEASE NOTE: The wines are sold in three
bottle lots. Minimum order is one lot. VINTAGES
requires a 25% non-refundable deposit of
the total value of your order. You pay the balance
when the wine arrives in 2013. Shipping is
free to your choice of LCBO store. The three-bottle
lot minimum does not apply to large format
bottles (i.e. 1500 mL, 3000 mL, and 6000 mL);
these wines can be purchased individually.
